Artist statement: “Taskforce Prevention and Community Services /  PrEP4TEENS”_24 x 12 ft_Vinyle Printing_graphic design_August 2024, Taskforce Prevention & Community, 5198 W. Washington Chicago, IL 60605. This design is one of two murals created in collaboration with Prep4Teens, Taskforce Community Service & Prevention, and their youth. Artist and consultant David Gauna facilitated a four-hour workshop with Taskforce youth to explore what pride means to them and to gather their ideas for art they would like to see in their community. The resulting design is inclusive and reflective of their perspectives.
